In today’s age, ‘Industry 4.0’ is one of the popular concepts in the manufacturing industry. Often referred to as the fourth industrial revolution, this concept will enable to create factories of the future. Automation, data exchange in technologies, internet of things (IoT), cognitive computing, and many more elements make up ‘Industry 4.0’.
Industry 4.0 at Hannover Messe 2018
This year, Hannover Messe which is one of the largest trade fairs for industrial technology in the world will include two flagship trade fairs—‘Integrated automation, motion and drives (IAMD)’ and ‘Digital Factory’—to demonstrate this concept further. Both trade shows will showcase numerous exhibitors displaying innovative technologies, presentations and conferences of how closely the virtual and real worlds will interconnect in the future.
The leading trade show – Integrated automation, motion and drives will focus on diverse areas such as integrated automation, industrial IT, power transmission and control. More than 2,000 exhibitors will be showcasing their innovations and 9,000 plus products are expected to be displayed at this show. In addition to this, the event will also host a ‘Robotics, automation & vision application park’ in which more than 60 robotics companies, systems integrators and providers of gripper technology will be showcasing their Smart Factory solutions. This section will also include the ‘Industry 4.0 Meets Industrial Internet Forum’ which will be held for the benefit of industry players.
Digital factory is also one of the leading fairs for integrated processes and IT solutions. This event will welcome 590 plus exhibitors and showcase more than 1,600 products. At Digital Factory, one can discover IT solutions that enable the exchange of data between development, production, and distribution. The trade fair also explores concepts that enable the secure distribution of mass data in digital factories.
Mexico – Partner Country
Like every year, Hannover Messe ties up with a country so that they can showcase their latest technological innovations at the fair. This also enables the country to boost their international trade relations and this year the show has collaborated with Mexico as its partner country. Participants from this country will be displaying the latest technologies and also be sharing information on diverse topics such as Industry 4.0, energy, environmental technology, vocational training, startups and foreign investment.
